De Todas Las Flores

With the release of De Todas las Flores, Natalia Lafourcade marks her big return in 2022 with an album of original compositions, her first in seven years. Musically, De Todas las Flores explores a wide range of Latin jazz and folk genres, such as bolero, cumbia, bossa nova, and samba. Lafourcade describes this album as her musical diary, exploring themes of heartbreak, loss, and grief. She drew inspiration from nature, and more specifically from the garden of her home in Xalapa, in the state of Veracruz. Lafourcade called on her former neighbor, Adán Jodorowsky, for production. The musical touch came from musicians such as guitarist Marc Ribot (Tom Waits, John Zorn) and bassist Sebastian Steinberg (Soul Coughing, Eddie Vedder, Fiona Apple).
