After several years, flutist Naïssam Jalal unveils a personal and vibrant musical universe that, in both content and form, restores meaning to the word freedom. Nominated for the Victoires du Jazz 2018, Naïssam Jalal is an associate composer at L'Estran, a venue in the town of Guidel (56) until 2020. In this new creation, flutist Naïssam Jalal brings together pianist Leonardo Montana and double bassist Claude Tchamitchian in search of the Invisible. This new repertoire is at the crossroads of mystical extra-Western and traditional music and modal jazz. Silence holds a central place, rhythm always leads to a trance in a repetitive and hypnotic form; sometimes the voice lends a hand to the instruments to connect with the Invisible by naming it. A creation that oscillates between contemplation and trance, silence and music.
