Naima Bock is releasing her second album Below a Massive Dark Land. This new ten-track record follows Giant Palm, one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2022. The writing of Naima Bock's second album was largely done in solitude. This may come as a surprise because the album features solid arrangements with a large number of musicians, filled with space and warm light. It consists of ambitious and rich arrangements that accompany deeper and darker lyrics than those of the previous album, while maintaining the majesty that made Giant Palm so remarkable. Naima finds a vocal power and confidence born from hundreds of hours spent on stage, and the music sounds broader, more tangible, yet no less enveloping. Below a Massive Dark Land was primarily produced by Jack Osborne (Bingo Fury) and Joe Jones, and recorded in London, with additional production and arrangements by Oliver Hamilton (Caroline, Shovel Dance Collective) and Naima herself.
