Description

Thus, having held the position of vocal accompaniment and vocal chamber music teacher at the Conservatoire de Paris for 18 years (we are in 2023), it is evident to me to find myself at the center of a particularly dense flow of music and humanity, of which it is essential to awaken the consciousness. Among those who found themselves on this path, directly, are the three composers whose works make up this record: Nadia Boulanger, Henriette Puig-Roget, and Elsa Barraine.
Composers, but not only that, far from it. Three laureates of the Prix de Rome, three pianists and keyboardists, three teachers of accompaniment and sight-reading at the Conservatoire de Paris, three dazzling educators whose former students speak retrospectively with reverence, admiration, and gratitude, both for what they learned and for the experience of having been alongside these exceptional artists and beings, independent, free thinkers, advocates of a revolution of the intimate: not one that overturns or destroys, but one that elevates the being.
