Originating from Baltimore, Maryland, Mystic Force established itself in the late 80s as one of the most promising representatives of American progressive power metal. Founded in 1984 by guitarists Rich Davis and Marc Rouchard, the band initially built a solid reputation in the underground thanks to several highly sought-after demos. This early period culminated in the release of Take Command in 1990 on C.M.F.T. Records, a vinyl compilation gathering tracks from their first demo as well as new standout songs like "Take Command," "Awakened By The Dawn," "Immortal Souls," and "Silent But Deadly." That same year, the band also released the cult single "Shipwrecked With The Wicked" / "Eternal Quest" through their own label Pro-duction Records, confirming the effectiveness and energy of their melodic and powerful heavy metal. Today, High Roller Records is bringing these essential recordings back to the forefront with a vinyl reissue that celebrates the beginnings of a band that has become a cult favorite in the American metal underground.
