Embark on a journey through the Ghibli universe! Inspired by the music of Joe Hisaishi and the enchanting world of Hayao Miyazaki, Guillaume Masson takes you on an ethereal ballet, where notes float between sky and clouds, blending poetry and pure emotion. "Studio Ghibli films express strong symbolism, profound dreaminess, and rare visual beauty, creating a unique and magical experience for the viewer. All these essences come to life through the music of composer Joe Hisaishi, who has developed a musical language inspired by French impressionist composers, traditional Eastern melodies, and modern pop culture, giving birth to some of the most beautiful and poetic soundtracks of recent decades. As the pianist on this album, I sought to capture every nuance of the original works, from the softest tones to the most powerful themes, striving to preserve all the orchestral richness. Thanks to the expressive possibilities of the piano, my goal was to remain as faithful as possible to Hisaishi's compositions, retaining their emotion and spirit, while offering a new – yet familiar – listening experience in solo piano. For all these reasons, I am deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to record this project, and delighted to share the fruit of this work through this album."
