MUSAEUM CLAUSUM

Description

Musæum Clausum is a French-German trio featuring Louis Laurain on cornet (Die Hochstapler, Umlaut Big Band, ONCEIM, Actuum), Hannes Lingens on drums (Obliq, Konzert Mimimal), and Sebastien Beliah on double bass (Un Poco Loco, Ensemble Hodos, Umlaut Big band). Musæum Clausum's music is a constant flow with no beginning or end, in which each instrumentalist freely charts a path in the development of their ideas. There is no predefined meeting point, but a general framework that emerges over the course of the piece, and within which each entity moves patiently and independently, sometimes reaching a high degree of complexity. This album was recorded over two days in September 2016 in Halle, in a former East German ballroom. The music was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Christoph Sclimbach.
