Whaur The Pig Gaed On The Spree: Alan Lomax'S Scottish Recordings, 1951–1957
Description
In 1951, Alan Lomax made his first trip to Scotland with Scottish poet and music collector Hamish Henderson. Traveling across Scotland, Lomax and Henderson made a good many typical recordings. "Whaur the Pig Gaed On the Spree" commemorates the 60th anniversary of Lomax's first Scottish recordings and acknowledges their profound effect on the revival of Scottish folklore with one of its most gifted heirs: Drag City artist Alasdair Roberts.Buy Whaur The Pig Gaed On The Spree: Alan Lomax’s Scottish Recordings, 1951–1957 at the best price
