Rockinitis Vol. 3 & 4 - Vinyle 180Gr

Description

With Rockinitis, the Stag-O-Lee label champions electric blues from the 1950s and early 1960s. Unadulterated pleasure in the form of danceable Black music. This CD brings together the third volume in the series produced by the Spaniard Fonsoul and the fourth volume compiled by the Englishman Mace. Barcelona's Fonsoul has lived among records his entire life. After playing in indie bands in the 90s, he became a DJ and built up a collection of African-American music in its original 45-rpm format. He shares his discoveries on his incredible YouTube channel and has also contributed to the superb mixes of Jester Wild, Jukebox Jam, Buzzsaw Joint, Cool Cat, and A Wamba Buluba. He has also run the Double Cookin' club for over a decade and is a regular guest at clubs across Europe. Mace was born and raised in Stoke-on-Trent. From the Mod revival scene, he moved on to 60s soul and rhythm & blues. He has been relieving Northern Soul record dealers of bluesy and audacious 45s for years. His passion for unearthing obscure 50s blues and 60s R&B gems has led him to participate in record fairs in the United States. Now he makes a living trading vinyl. Lovers worldwide know Rhythm-andSoul45s.com as a reliable source for quality records. A DJ since his late teens, Mace has organized numerous events, including the Federal R&B Club in Crewe. He is also a resident DJ at Sheffield's legendary Pow Wow.
