Broadcast in 1982 on Chicago local station WCIU, The Chicago Party was a disco-boogie avatar of Soul Train, featuring rainbow outfits, gravity-defying afros, and, most importantly, stealthy appearances from acts whose discographies were as fleeting as their careers.
