. Twist à St Tropez: In the early 1960s, a new musical trend swept both sides of the Atlantic: the twist. This rock'n'roll derivative, accompanied by its dance of the same name, quickly arrived on our shores. In France, the movement had its epicenter in Saint-Tropez, mentioned in the famous 'Twist à Saint-Tropez' by Dick Rivers and his Chats Sauvages.
