After a five-year break focused mainly on the Westcoast Soul/Yacht/AOR sound of the late 70s and early 80s, we finally dive into the modern universe of our beloved sister label Too Slow To Disco. But of course, it wasn't a true five-year break since the first Sunset Manifesto compilation, because in the meantime we also released a few TSTD Neo singles digitally, and - more importantly - our "TooSlow To Disco NEO - FM" playlist on Spotify (curated by Dj Supermarkt every week and now featuring over 1,500 tracks with mellow, modern, sunny vibes) kept growing and becoming a new important focal point in the TSTD musical universe. TSTD NEO is the medium Dj Supermarkt uses to unearth modern, laid-back, mellow, and sunny slow disco vibes, with a West Coast and Balearic soul touch. For him, TSTD has always been about a laid-back vibe/feeling, not a specific period in music history. And that sunny West Coast vibe we drew from those traditional TSTD compilations has had a considerable influence on many modern artists.
