electronic music pioneer Lustmord, not only by re-releasing his albums "Beyond" (2009), "The Dark Places Of The Earth" (2009), and "Other" (2008) (to date, Lustmord's only album to feature guitars, performed by King Buzzo (Melvins), Aaron Turner (Isis), and Adam Jones of Tool), but also by releasing the 2CD- & 3LP box set "The Others," featuring Lustmord tracks reinterpreted by some of the spearheads of the contemporary heavy scene—and beyond: Ulver, Enslaved, Godflesh, Zola Jesus, Bohren & Der Club Of Gore, Steve Von Till, Ihsahn, Jaye Jayle, Jo Quail, Spotlights, Jonas Renske of Katatonia, Hackedepiciotto, Alexander Hacke's (Einsturzende Neubauten) new band, and fellow Pelagic artists Mono, The Ocean, Arabrot, and Crown. "The Others - Lustmord Deconstructed" is a celebration of the fearless attitude of difference and the expression of unique ideas that have never existed before. Each of these 16 artists delivers an interpretation that pays the deepest respect to this pivotal artist, while also standing out as a new track in its own right.
