A collection of tracks released by FASHION RECORDS, the iconic reggae label of the UK. Soul Jazz Records is proud to present this new collection of music from Fashion Records, one of the most important and iconic independent reggae labels in the UK, which was born in 1980 and existed for nearly 20 years. During this time, Fashion Records released hundreds of records that successfully reflected (in addition to being one of the main driving forces) the evolution of styles and perspectives of reggae music in the UK: from the Dancehall and Lovers Rock of the 1980s to the rise of Jungle in the second half of the 1990s. The label had a large catalog of artists and MCs born in Great Britain, including General Levy, Papa Face, Smiley Culture, Bionic Rhona, Asher Senator, Laurel & Hardy, Top Cat, and many more. This album is a subjective and breathtaking journey through the history of Reggae with Fashion Records and its many unique and landmark tracks at its center.
