Persona

Description

“Persona” is synonymous with iconic music. From the foundational themes of the first Persona to the wild tracks that made Persona 5 an instant classic, the stirring soundtracks from the Atlus Sound Team have now become an integral part not only of JRPG history, but of video game history as a whole. That’s why iam8bit sees no better way to celebrate this historic milestone of thirty years than with a greatest hits compilation album of Persona. But this is no ordinary “best-of” album; we teamed up with our friends at Atlus to produce something truly worthy of the Persona name, a one-of-a-kind commemoration of one of the most legendary franchises in video games. Here is the Persona 30th Anniversary jazz album, a single-disc compilation packed with the greatest Persona tracks, covered by the mad jazz geniuses The Blueshift Big Band. They have reimagined fan-favorite Persona tracks such as “Heaven,” “Last Surprise” and, of course, “Aria of the Soul,” through their signature soulful, syncopated lens. For this special iam8bit edition, we pressed it on beautiful 180-gram black vinyl, for an exceptional listening experience. For the album cover, we enlisted Mark Borgions, award-winning illustrator and friend of iam8bit, to imagine a jazz band made up of beloved Persona characters. The result? A true gem that perfectly completes the iam8bit x Persona vinyl collection. It’s simply a must-have.
