While a small handful of the featured artists emerged outside Africa (Joni Haastrup, Tee Mac, Christy Essien), the majority of the tracks come from artists totally unknown outside Nigeria, such as Don Bruce & The Angels, Akin Richards & The Executives, Angela Starr or Jimmy Sherry & The Music Agents. It is no surprise that these recordings are extremely rare and expensive individually; this album will therefore save you from going bankrupt trying to find them. These tracks were recorded at a time when restrictions on Nigerian trade prohibited the import of albums.
