This record follows the journey of the Wandering Ghost (performed by Thao Nguyen, known as THAO) from the film « Au milieu de l'inquiétude », created by Tuan Andrew Nguyen, in collaboration with THAO and Marion Hoang Ngoc Hill. « Au milieu de l'inquiétude » explores the bonds that unite a multigenerational Vietnamese family in New Orleans. Through interwoven vignettes, told through dialogue and songs, the film depicts the challenges, aspirations, and affections of the family members. Through the lens of several generations, and even the deceased, the film asks: what constitutes a home when you leave it? Where is home when loved ones are no longer there? Does home live within us? Or where we bury our dead? This record includes seven works from the film: five new compositions by THAO, a reworked version of her song « Temple », and a piano composition by Marion Hoàng Ngoc Hill.
