Mr Bongo Record Club Vol. 5

Description

This selection is less focused on the dancefloor than the previous volumes, as the decrease in live event opportunities pushed us to explore other paths and other styles across the musical spectrum. But whether you’re a DJ in a kitchen or in a club, you’ll still find a generous helping of spicy magic for the dancefloor. For volume 5, from Brazil to Cuba, via Ghana, Jamaica, Japan, Mauritania, South Africa, Sweden, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Kingdom and the United States, Mr Bongo has unearthed songs from the 70s to the present day and brought together a host of artists. There is an exclusive track by Sven Wunder that was recorded only for this compilation. We also have a track by Admin, released on a private pressing in early 2021. You’ll also discover one of the most prized productions by Gyedu Blay Ambolley, an African disco colossus at full power!
