Description

For volume 4 of this series, we continue in the same vein as previous editions, selecting current favorites and rare lost gems in the Brazilian, African, soul, funk, and disco genres. We present tracks by artists such as Azwon, Cindy & The Playmates, and Zé Roberto, to name just a few. However, one of the main new features of this edition is the inclusion for the first time of recordings by contemporary artists. These are Matthew Tavares (of BADBADNOTGOOD), Wax Machine, and DJ Format & The Simonsound, which originally appeared on limited edition privately pressed vinyl or were previously only available digitally. We felt it was important to include them and wanted to share these wonderful discoveries with a wider audience. They complement, enrich, and integrate perfectly into the flow and journey of the compilation.
