Following up a very successful first album is always a delicate task, but barely 12 months after the release of the first volume of the "With Love" series, Miche has once again outdone himself with another glorious and deep dive into the world of rare souls. The second volume is for dancers; records that are still moving, still ultra-rare and dormant from the United States, Chile, Brazil and beyond, but the dynamic of the collection has shifted slightly. One of the crown jewels of this compilation is a joyful, anthem-like gospel version of "As" by Stevie Wonder by The Family Tree (a project produced by the fantastic Julius Brockington). From a rare and sought-after Pennsylvania funk / AOR bomb by Maxwell, to a superb modern soul track "High On You" by Freedom and self-produced Brazilian 45s by Banda 22 and Zé Da Lata. "Straight Forward (Non-Stop)" by P.J. City is gospel-disco perfection, as is "Dame Solamente Amor", a sublime soul beauty from Chile by Rogers Mitchell. Many of these artists featured on this compilation are not household names, but they deserve their moment to shine, be heard, loved and appreciated for their artistry.
