Little Big Planet

Description

LittleBigPlanet, by Media Molecule, was, and remains, well ahead of its time. A platform and puzzle game that emphasized user-generated content and cooperative play, LittleBigPlanet embodied a player-driven spirit of creativity that has come to define the current generation of blockbuster games. Perhaps the most impressive thing about LittleBigPlanet was the way it managed to make such a vast and robust gameplay concept feel so darn cozy and warm. Its textile-inspired textures and melodic narration, provided by Stephen Fry, gave the game an unmistakable handcrafted charm. Creation, it seemed to insist, had to be satisfying, simple, and fun. That spirit is very much alive in the game’s unforgettable soundtrack. Composers Mat Clark and Kenneth C Young crafted a soundtrack that draws inspiration from world music, family-friendly nursery rhymes, groovy mashups, and much more. iam8bit has always been inspired by the undeniable vibrancy of LittleBigPlanet. That’s why we’re thrilled to partner with Sony Interactive Entertainment to bring it to vinyl. The LittleBigPlanet double LP, like the protagonist that inspired it, packs a serious punch despite its small size. Across its four sides, you’ll find 15 carefully selected tracks from the game, offering a delightful sample of the rich palette of moods it has to offer. It is pressed on Earth & Moon Inspired Vinyl, two gorgeous shades of vinyl that are distinct yet complementary, designed to harmonize with the brand-new album artwork created by Haley bbanditt Wakefield. The artwork that makes it up pays tribute to the eclectic mix of muses that make LittleBigPlanet such a joyful experience. The result is an album that celebrates not only video games, but creativity itself.
