Je n'aime pas le classique, mais les musiques de films, j'aime bien !

Description

I don't like classical music, but I do enjoy film scores! There wasn't a more fitting theme for this series than original film music, which many consider to be today's classical music, supported by stars of the genre (John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Ennio Morricone, Alexandre Desplat…) and popularized by very big films. "I don't like classical music..." had already addressed classical music used in cinema, but not yet its original scores. We are fully immersed in the paradoxical offering of this title, or how a part of the vast classical repertoire (or music assimilated as classical) manages to stand out from the rest, to seem less intimidating, and to find its audience. This three-CD box set brings together the greatest successes of the genre, which have celebrated the unforgettable partnerships between great composers and their favorite directors, from the 50s and 60s to the present day, from Hermann/Hitchcock to Zimmer/Nolan. A rich program, often championed by the composers themselves, along with a few stars, that combines the impact of a grand symphonic orchestra or the emotion of a solo violin with the intimacy of a minimalist piano… For the first time, this record series is partnering with Radio Classique – the leading French radio station targeting open classical music, which is once again promoting film music in its programming and will truly engage with this box set. Radio Classique features one of the star cinema critics in France – Bruno Cras (former Europe 1), who will infuse his show with this event. Once again, a new release supported by a launch marketing plan.
