Grease

Description

Since its release in 1978, Grease has become one of the most beloved cult films in cinema history. The film’s soundtrack is a true best seller, with nearly 20 million copies sold worldwide. Most of the best-known tracks from the soundtrack were written especially for the film. Songs like “You're The One That I Want,” “Grease” and “Hopelessly Devoted To You” were No. 1 hits around the world. On the occasion of the musical’s thirtieth anniversary, Universal is releasing a DELUXE 2-CD edition of the soundtrack including all remastered tracks, remixes, instrumental versions of the songs and a special booklet including the lyrics to the tracks (enough to give fans the chance to do karaoke at Christmas). It should also be noted that Grease is also in the spotlight in Paris with the musical, which has been a triumph every night since October 2 at the Parisian Théâtre de la Comédia (performances until early 2009, and benefits from strong visibility (partnership with Nostalgie and France 2).
