The ED BANGER RECORDS label (Justice, SebastiAn, Breakbot, DJ Mehdi, Mr Oizo, Cassius, Busy P, Myd, Vladimir Cauchemar...) is 15 years old. How do you celebrate 15 years of electronic music? Well, as you’ve never heard it before: in symphonic version! The 27 biggest tracks from the label revisited by the 70-piece Robert Lamoureux Classical Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Thomas Roussel, who arranged all the tracks. Without knowing it, we are all fans of classical music! From the Simpsons theme tune to the brass of the James Bond theme, not to mention the emotion we get from the violins in the soundtrack of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial... Pedro Winter imagined this encounter of the third kind: calling on a symphonic orchestra. The talented Thomas Roussel arranged all the tracks and the virtuoso Lamoureux orchestra made this work possible and concrete. A classical concert, where Justice’s melodies confront SebastiAn’s sharp sounds reinterpreted on violin, Boston Bun’s house music and Breakbot’s funk revisited by a dozen brass instruments... After a triumphant live performance in Paris at the Grand Rex, the project was re-recorded identically and immortalized in the studio.
