Bella Ciao was, in 1964, the first of the great spectacle frescoes to make accessible the heritage of popular Italian songs collected on the ground during the previous decade. Work songs, songs of struggle, political claims, but also simple serenades integrated into a program that was not intended for specialists only. This show gave an impetus to the folk revival movement in Italy. Here it is revisited by the great current names of traditional song: Lucilla Galeazzi, Elena Ledda, Riccardo Tesi, Ginevra di Marco, Gigi Biolcati, Alessio Lega, Andrea Salvadori.
