This new album follows in the footsteps of the previous ones ("Mademoiselle Marseille" and "Forever Polida") and deepens their perspectives. It remains centered around the same musical universes: always exploring the affinities (or, conversely, confronting) of early 20th-century American black music, Marseille operetta, or Brazilian rhythms. "Home sweet home": love songs for the home, songs of exiles nostalgic for their country, or songs of revolt against separation and the destruction of the familiar universe. All these facets can be found in the new creation by Moussu T e lei Jovents. Their "home sweet home" is mixed and colorful, reflecting their city, Marseille or La Ciotat. Their "home sweet home" is the smell of fish at the port, laundry hanging from windows, drinking pastis with friends, or the laughter of children in the street; it is also the Provençal language, popular songs, and the flavors of the cuisine. It is also their home, the pitchounette lying on the couch, and the moments of rest where the harshness of daily life is soothed by the coastal landscape.
