Mötley Crüe partners with Netflix for the release of their biopic, "The Dirt," a film inspired by their autobiography co-written with Neil Strauss, rock critic for The New York Times. The film was directed by Jeff Tremaine (Bad Grandpa, Jackass) and features a star-studded cast: Douglas Booth (Loving Vincent), Iwan Rheon (Game Of Thrones), Colson Baker a.k.a Machine Gun Kelly (Bird Box), Daniel Webber (The Punisher), David Costabile (Breaking Bad, Billions), and Pete Davidson (SNL). The film will be available on Netflix on March 22. Hailing from Los Angeles, the quartet - Vince Neil (Vocals), Mick Mars (Guitar), Nikki Sixx (Bass), and Tommy Lee (Drums) - has occupied the heights of the rock pantheon for nearly 40 years. Their album sales have exceeded 100 million copies with 7 platinum records and numerous multi-platinum records, 22 appearances in the Top 40 mainstream rock hits, 6 in the Top 20 pop singles, 3 Grammy nominations, 4 New York Times Best-Seller awards, and to top it all off: a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Known for their wild concerts, they have toured to sold-out crowds worldwide with shows featuring never-before-seen props like Tommy Lee's Crüecifly-Drum-Rollercoaster or Nikki Sixx's Flame-Throwing-Bass.
