Long-awaited vinyl reissue of Mortal Sin's first thrash metal classic, "Mayhemic Destruction," originally released in 1987, with numerous liner notes and contributions from the band. Second pressing on limited edition silver vinyl. Recently remastered, the version contains liner notes from the revered metal writer Malcolm Dome who conducted new interviews with the band, as well as former touring drummer Steve Hughes, now a successful comedian. Emerging from the Australian underground metal scene in the late 80s after forming in 1985, Mortal Sin quickly gained worldwide fame when their self-produced debut album "Mayhemic Destruction" was picked up by the major label Vertigo and reissued worldwide in 1987. Featuring early classics like "Lebanon" and "Blood, Death, Hatred," the album proved to be a landmark release in the burgeoning Thrash Metal scene of the time and received rave reviews across the board, including Kerrang! which described Mortal Sin as "potentially the next big thing" and Metal Forces which awarded the record a 99/100 review. Mortal Sin remained sporadically active until 2012. This reissue benefits from the full cooperation of the band.
