Among the first bands from the American death metal scene, Morta Skuld was formed in Milwaukee in 1990 and released three albums with Peaceville Records in the early 1990s, starting with the now cult classic "Dying Remains" in 1993. In 2017, the band - led by its founder and guitarist/vocalist David Gregor - returned to Peaceville for its first studio album in 20 years, the brutal opus "Wounds Deeper Than Time," further solidifying Morta Skuld's legacy in the pantheon of the genre's greats. "Suffer For Nothing," the band's sixth studio album to date, takes the carnage to a new level with a fresh dose of pulverizing death metal excellence. With flawless execution and crushing production from Belle City Sound, the quartet brutalizes the senses with sharp riffs and insane solos. This is high-caliber, unadorned death metal, demonstrating that the old guard is still among the strongest, coinciding with the band's 30th anniversary, as they also plan to perform in Europe and the United States to support the album's release. The cover art was created with the kind assistance of renowned artist SV Bell (Rotting Christ, Amorphis).
