Piano Concertos Nos. 1, KV 37 & 27, KV 595, Clarinet Concerto, KV 622
Piano Concertos Nos. 1, KV 37 & 27, KV 595, Clarinet Concerto, KV 622
Description
In this new volume of the "Next Generation Mozart Soloists" series, we find Mozart's very first piano concerto (KV 37), composed at the age of 11, and his very last, the Concerto KV 595, completed on January 5, 1791, exactly 11 months before his death. "The pairing of the first concerto, still very naive and youthful, and the last, so much more mature and reflecting Bach's influence, testifies to the extraordinary development of a genius mind," says pianist Mishka Rushdie Momen, who performs them under the direction of Howard Griffiths. She studied with Joan Havill, Imogen Cooper, Richard Goode, and Andras Schiff at the Kronberg Academy. Blaz Sparovec, principal clarinetist of the Gürzenich Orchestra of Cologne, takes on one of Mozart's very last works, the famous Clarinet Concerto KV 622, "a concerto that resembles an opera, in which the solo instrument plays all the roles," says Sparovec.Buy Piano Concertos Nos. 1, KV 37 & 27, KV 595, Clarinet Concerto, KV 622 at the best price
