Dame de pique

Description

Déjà, under the direction of conductors as prestigious as Raphaël Kubelik or Leonard Bernstein, the Bavarian Radio Orchestra has recorded many operas. Mariss Jansons continues this tradition with a late work by Tchaïkovsky, The Queen of Spades, composed in 1887 to a libretto by the composer's brother.
Recorded in 2014 at the Munich Philharmonie in concert version, this performance brings together, at the conductor's relevant insistence, Russian-speaking singers, all familiar with the work.
We find Misha Didyk in the role of Hermann, Tatiana Serjan as Lisa, and Alexey Markov as Prince Yeletsky.
A fine success.
