Among the many recordings of Giuseppe Verdi's 'Messa da Requiem', Herbert von Karajan's 1972 recording is one of the most revered. In addition to the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and the Singverein der Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Wien, he is accompanied by four of the finest Verdi interpreters of his time: Mirella Freni, Christa Ludwig, Carlo Cossutta and Nicolai Ghiaurov.
This release will be published as a limited luxury gatefold and numbered edition on double 180g vinyl, including:
