'Filth Pig' is the sixth studio album by the industrial metal band Ministry. Originally released in 1996, the title is said to come from a statement made before the British Parliament, where bandleader Jourgensen was described by MP Teddy Taylor as a filthy pig. For 'Filth Pig', Ministry stripped away all synthesizers and most of the samples from their style and created the music almost entirely with ultra-loud guitars, heavy bass, and real drums. The songs were played mainly at slower tempos than the very fast ones used for the compositions on their three previous records, giving it a Doom Metal feel. 'Filth Pig' was released with the singles/videos "Reload", "The Fall", "Lay Lady Lay" (a cover of the old Bob Dylan hit) and "Brick Windows". 'Filth Pig' is available in a limited edition of 1500 numbered copies on blue marbled vinyl. The package includes an insert.
