Austro-Croatian conductor Milan Turkovic, who also has an unparalleled career as a bassoonist, presents a varied Mozart program with the Wiener Concert-Verein chamber orchestra. Turkovic has shown a particular interest in preserving the Viennese sound tradition, not only since his time with Concentus Musicus under the direction of Nikolaus Harnoncourt. In addition to Serenade No. 13 in G major K. 525, also known as "Eine kleine Nachtmusik," this latest CD titled "Nachtmusik" (Night Music) includes Divertimento in D major K. 136 and Symphony No. 39 in E major K. 543, which belongs to the group of the last three symphonies.
