Laced Records, in partnership with Bethesda Softworks and id Software, are proud to announce the highly anticipated physical audio release of the soundtrack to the 2016 DOOM remake. Composer Mick Gordon, a favored collaborator of Bethesda studios and known for numerous video game soundtracks primarily oriented towards Metal, had the difficult task of recreating the violence of this seminal game released in 1993 (one of the first first-person shooter games, a style long known as "Doom-like"). It's safe to say he brilliantly succeeded, as this soundtrack won the Game Awards 2016 for best game music in addition to being nominated for the Bafta Games Awards in the same category. The double vinyl was pressed at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London. The album will be available in two formats: a deluxe double CD in a triple gatefold sleeve including all 31 tracks from the game, and the deluxe double vinyl version with a selection of 20 tracks chosen by the developers, pressed on 180g red vinyl in a double gatefold with printed inner sleeves.
