It’s official, Camille Productions, the only label in France that still produces and supports 100% "classic" Jazz musicians, is back once again with a 21st album: "Fine Ideas"!
The genesis of this very young trio dates back to 2006, when a fortuitous musical encounter between Michel Pastre and Louis Mazet during a jam session gave birth to their first orchestra, a sextet that oscillated between the evocative names of "Harlem Swing" and "Paris All Stars". Joined by Guillaume Nouaux on drums and Jérôme Etcheberry on trumpet, this group experienced immediate success and won the hearts of jazz lovers. The idea of creating a first album between Louis and Michel was then initiated by Dominique Burucoa, who brought them together in Bayonne along with Jérôme for a historic recording session. This is how the PME trio was born. Their first album, the result of this exceptional collaboration, was doubly rewarded in 2016/2017, winning the prestigious Jazz Classique Prize from the Académie du Jazz as well as the Grand Prix from the Hot Club de France.
In parallel to all this, Michel Pastre also often played with Guillaume Nouaux within the Michel Pastre quintet "Charlie Christian project".
It was on one of these tours that Guillaume Nouaux confided to Michel his desire to create, one day, a trio in the spirit of Gene Krupa.
And today this trio comes to life with the release of this very first album "Fine Ideas".
