After more than 20 years, Band Of Brothers is still considered one of HBO's most important series. Produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, the series has won major awards such as the Golden Globe for Best Mini-Series and the Emmy Award for Best Mini-Series. Band Of Brothers is a war drama mini-series based on the 1992 book by historian Stephen E. Ambrose. It follows the story of Easy Company of the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army and its mission in World War II Europe, from Operation Overlord to Victory over Japan Day. The music, composed by the late Michael Kamen, is considered one of the essential elements in creating the realistic atmosphere of the series. Kamen was best known for composing music for films such as Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, and X-Men, and received an Oscar nomination for Don Juan DeMarco and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
