Description

Bringing together two of Michael Gordon’s most daring works for large orchestra, this long-awaited CD fulfills Gordon’s dream not only of expanding the potential of the modern symphony, but also, in his words, “of exploring the gray areas between harmony and dissonance.” On its own, the music of Dystopia paints the picture of the future of a city—in this case, the frenetic, chaotic, dazzling, electric and, ultimately... noisy city of Los Angeles.
