Le Jour Variable Quatre Symphonies
Description
Throughout his life, Carl Stamitz, the eldest son of Johann Stamitz, the famous founder of the Mannheim school, became a virtuoso of the violin and viola and a successful composer. In our edition of Carl Stamitz, we are now publishing four additional symphonies that were considered a practically ideal embodiment of sensitivity because his "heart full of feelings left its mark on his music." Stamitz's desire to discover and explore new paths in symphonic composition led him to the programmatic pastoral symphony "Le jour variable," conceived in Versailles in the autumn of 1772. What Stamitz presents to the ears in the manner of previously "unheard" music would completely overshadow even the programmatic pieces produced at the end of the 19th century. Many experts, including Hugo Riemann, were very aware that this programmatic symphony is a particularly interesting and remarkable composition.Buy Le Jour Variable Quatre Symphonies at the best price
