'Blessing in Disguise' is the third studio album by American heavy metal band 'Metal Church'. New vocalist Mike Howe joined the band for this 1989 release, replacing David Wayne, who departed the band. Mike Howe gave the band a renewed energy and the album represents some of their finest material in their long career. Some critics and fans even claim it to be the finest 'Metal Church' release. The album was produced by legendary metal producer Terry Date (White Zombie, Deftones, Dream Theatre), who had previously worked with the band on the self-titled 1984 debut. Album highlights include "Anthem to the Estranged" and "The Spell that Can't be Broken". Overall the album contains some impressive guitar work.
