From the telluric depths of the realm of Hades to the euphoric sky of Epicurus, the elusive quest for the musical Grail has led MESSALINE to an unexpected bivouac after 5 albums praised by specialized media for their originality. But even more surprisingly, in this abyssal night, their old demons have chosen for them. Without light, there is no darkness. And these incandescent expiations were, among others, the Holy Trinity of Led Zep-Purple-Sabbath, but also Ange, Santana, and Hendrix... MESSALINE plays at being sorcerers on this new album, branded with the fiery mark of the 70s without falling into the "true" trap! The ghosts of the past resurface, the references to the Ancients are embraced, and the reverence for Ghost (the triggering element) is evident. A musical alchemy ready to venerate the ancient kabbalists on the altar of the newly possessed. Ad vitam aeternam. The visuals were created by the essential Stan W. Decker (Megadeth, Blue Oyster Cult, Rage ...). Recorded and mixed at Studio La Soierie. Mastered at Studio 180 by Arnaud Bascùnana (Axel Bauer, Yarol Poupaud, Guitar United...). On the track "Orion Stargazer," the crème de la crème of Hard and Prog singers take turns behind the microphone: Renaud Hantson (Satan Jokers) - Jo Amore (Kingcrown) - Tristan Décamps (Ange) - Pyt Theurillat (Galaad), accompanied on keyboards by Francis Décamps (ex-Ange). The track "Par les fils de Mandrin (an angel passes)" is a cover and adaptation of Ange, the cult French band from the 70s. Other guests contribute to the arrangements (Hammond, Moog, mellotron, female choirs, flamenco guitar, harmonica, etc.).
