Premier printemps

Description

It all begins with the meeting of an airy voice and an acoustic guitar. Over the course of their duo concerts, Mathilde Gardien and Romain Salmon have developed, with great complicity, a stripped-down sonic signature. Gradually drawn by the desire to compose together, they created MENALUA, their own universe in the form of a quartet, bringing in Matis Regnault on double bass and Basile Guéguen on drums. The album “Premier Printemps”, due out on June 6, 2025, reveals a singular and inventive music, at the crossroads of multiple influences (jazz, Brazilian music, but also flamenco...), serving lyrics imbued with sincerity, in French or English.
