Among my swan

Description

A flagship band of the independent rock scene in the United States, Mazzy Star would embody a pop sound that is soft, light, and grave all at once. After a first album noticed by the bosses at Capitol, who would wrest the contract away from the independents at Rough Trade, Mazzy Star would become an essential band of the 1990s. Hidden behind the airy voice of the enigmatic Hope Sandoval and a minimalist production, Among my Swan establishes a pop style deeply infused with American folk culture. The band’s languid compositions remain its hallmark. - ("excerpt from the Fnac Ideal Record Collection guide")
