MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: THE FINAL RECKONING

Description

Mutant and Paramount Pictures are proud to present the first physical release of the music by Max Aruj and Alfie Godfrey for 'Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning', the eighth chapter in actor and producer Tom Cruise’s cult spy series. Pressed on two 140 g vinyl records, it includes liner notes by Aruj and Godfrey, as well as Christopher McQuarrie, co-writer, director and producer, and artwork designed by Mo Shafeek. The highly anticipated 'Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning' welcomes newcomers Aruj and Godfrey to bring to life the stakes and scale of the series’ most important and most epic chapter to date. About the music, co-composer Alfie Godfrey says: “We recognized the extraordinary ambition and courage shown by Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie in bringing this spectacular film to life. Built on the legacy of composers who have shaped the franchise over the decades, this score lives up to that story. It is a soundtrack charged with adrenaline and emotion, perfectly suited to a film destined to be remembered as one of the boldest action epics of our time.” “Composing the music for The Final Reckoning was an incredibly rewarding experience,” adds co-composer Max Aruj. “The dedication and talent of the entire music team were extraordinary, and collaborating with McQuarrie and Tom was a true pleasure from the start. We are proud of the music we created and hope it will become a meaningful addition to this iconic franchise.” “The profound impact of the Mission Impossible series on cinema over the past thirty years cannot be overstated. Its legacy is immense,” says Mo Shafeek, co-founder of Mutant. “For Max Aruj and Alfie Godfrey to so brilliantly carry on the tradition of music giants such as Hans Zimmer, Michael Giacchino, Danny Elfman, Joe Kraemer and Lorne Balfe is a real achievement.”
