Throughout her career of over 70 years, one of her most cherished musical moments was her captivating performance in Martin Scorsese's film "The Last Waltz," where she performed "The Weight" with The Band, a moment that forged a lifelong friendship between her and Levon Helm. Staples traveled to Woodstock, New York, to perform as part of Helm's famous Midnight Ramble series, and the concert that followed - available for the first time on her new album Carry Me Home - marked a personal turning point for both artists. Recorded live during the summer of 2011, Carry Me Home features two of the most iconic voices of the last century coming together in love and joy, tracing their common roots and celebrating the enduring power of faith and music.
