Mauskovic Dance Band

Description

Completely sold out upon its release in May 2019, Soundway is proud to once again offer the excellent debut album from the Mauskovic Dance Band! Entirely self-produced, the band revives its favorite elements of 70's music: Afro-Latin Psych from Colombia and Peru, all performed with freshness and modernity, reflecting their hometown of Amsterdam. As its name suggests, this "dance band" is led by Nic Mauskovic, who has been spotted behind the drums of many of the most exciting projects of the moment: Altin Gün, W.I.T.C.H., and alongside Jacco Gardner. Recorded in a studio at Garage Noord, one of Amsterdam's new must-visit clubs, this album is a pure gem of psychedelic world music brilliantly updated. It's no wonder this record has taken over the turntables of DJs and influencers around the world, including a certain Gilles Peterson, who is in total admiration of this band.
