Vivantes

Description

Vivantes brings together the Katok Ensemble led by Paul Serri and Belgian composer Patrick Leterme around a program conceived at the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Charleroi. Between Maurice Ravel, Guillaume Lekeu and a creation for string quintet – Racines, Ailes, Brises – the music explores an organic relationship to the living world, nourished by time spent in nature and by the echo of texts by George Sand, Romain Gary or Vinciane Despret. Leterme unfolds a particularly precise writing here, whose assumed fragility makes sensitivity itself a form of resistance.
