Since 1984, Massilia Sound System has sung about Marseille, celebration, love, living together, tolerance, and openness to the world, just like its city, Marseille (Massilia), a welcoming port for over 2600 years to all cultures of the Mediterranean and beyond. The Massilia Sound System consists of 3 MCs to take the mic, with 3 voices, 3 distinct sensitivities: Papet J (Alias Jali), Gari Grèu, and Moussut (Alias Tatou), accompanied by talented musicians: BLU on electric guitar, Janvié on keyboards, and DJ Kayalik on turntables. Massilia Sound System is the sound of Marseille! It is sunny and lively, it speaks loudly and comes back to mess things up...
Today, Massilia Sound System offers, in collaboration with Manivette Records and Baco Records, its three emblematic albums: the one that celebrates their thirty years: "Massilia" released in 2014, "Òai E Libertat" released in 2007, and "3968CR13" released in 2001.
