'You Are The Man' is Marvin Gaye's first 'Lost Album' with Tamla Motown. 15 of the album's 17 tracks are brought together for the first time on this double vinyl. Discover three tracks, previously offered as demo versions, mixed by Salaam Remi (Amy Winehouse). The album also includes the unreleased extended version of the 1972 Christmas single, as well as very rare instrumental B-sides. This unique edition is enhanced with a text by his biographer, David Ritz. This release will coincide with Motown's 60th anniversary and Marvin Gaye's 80th birthday. Although the tracks have been released in various collections and deluxe editions, this is the first time they have been brought together in their own context. 'You're The Man' was the album that was proposed to follow up the monumental 'What's Going On'.
