Salome

Description

Signed from their very first EP (Kitsune, 2012) on the Sargent House label, Marriages then joined an armada of interesting bands such as Helms Alee, Wovenhand, Russian Circles, Boris... It must be said that Marriages is not made up of unknowns: Greg Burns, Andrew Clinco and Emma Ruth Rundle, members of Red Sparowes. Marriages relies mainly on the haunting voice of Emma Ruth Rundle, but not only that. It seems quite obvious on first listen that the instrumentation is not there just to serve the vocals. The band offers intense music, somewhere between post-rock, psychedelic indie and shoegaze.
